2.Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5
Lenovo needs no introduction when it comes to laptops. There is a wide range of laptops available from the renowned brand. The IdeaPad model is one of Lenovo’s prominent series, and it has quite a few variants to its name.
The one we’re reviewing here today, though, is the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5. As the name suggests, the laptop is definitely slim. But that is not the only thing you would like about this laptop. There are a lot of great features and a few not-so-great ones as well.
Let us get down to the important part and take a look at the specifications of the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 81YM002TIN.
Unlike a few of its competitors, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 was launched as a single variant with no alternative options. The model is standard with just one color variant, the graphite grey. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 is a 14-inch laptop with a surprising number of features. It combines great performance and amazing features in a thin package.
The IdeaPad is slim, efficient and yet does not compromise on any of the important attributes. Most importantly, it falls into a budget, which would be one of its more popular advantages.
The IdeaPad packs some impressive features in its sleek and light form. It has an AMD Ryzen 7 4700U processor and an integrated AMD graphics card. The laptop also comes pre-installed with essential software like Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019 versions.
Keep scrolling for some deep insights on the features!
CPU and Graphics
The CPU on the Lenovo IdeaPad is the AMD Ryzen 7 4700U. It has a base speed of 2.0 GHz and a maximum speed of 4.1 GHz. It is also an octa-core processor with eight threads and equipped with an 8 MB smart cache. The laptop is preloaded with Windows 10 and is provided with lifetime validity for user convenience.
The Ryzen 7 is one of the advanced processors available in the market today and is as good as an Intel Core i7 processor. To get that in a budget laptop is definitely a steal. The Ryzen 7 4700U is easily capable of running even the toughest of tasks without any hassles.
The graphics card on the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 is again from AMD, and it is an integrated AMD graphics card. Integrated graphics cards are good enough for base-level gaming applications and animations that you may run.
RAM and Storage
The RAM capacity in this laptop is 8 GB, and the storage capacity is 512 GB. As we saw before, this particular model from Lenovo is available in just one single variant. Hence you do not have the option to choose.
That being said, there is nothing undesirable about the provided specifications. 8 GB of RAM and a 512 GB of Flash memory solid-state drive is anything but inadequate.
With this RAM capacity, you can rest assured that your system will be fast and smooth, no doubt. It is also enough to be used for basic gaming and load all your applications smooth as butter.
The storage is definitely decent, if not great, for a laptop in this budget range.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 comes with a 14-inch display which is perfectly compact. The display is equipped with In-plane switching (IPS) technology. The display also features anti-glare technology and also has a full HD resolution of 1920x1080p.
The display has 300 nits of active brightness which means your laptop will be extremely convenient even for usage in bright and sunny outdoor environments.
Design is one of the most desirable features of the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5. As the name suggests, this beauty is all of 1.39 kgs and is slim as well.
The IdeaPad is a mere 17.9mm in thickness, and this, along with its light as a featherweight, makes this a great pick for anyone who prefers portability just as much as productivity.
The display is 4 sided narrow bezels, making your screen viewing experience a lot better, and has a 90 percent active area. The top bezel features an HD camera but not without amazing additional detail.
The camera features a privacy shutter that can be closed and opened as needed. This gives you complete control over the camera and, needless to say, protection.
Keyboard and Trackpad
The keyboard on the IdeaPad is compact and yet spacious. It does not contain a number pad, though. It also features minimal arrow controls, which can prove to be a hassle during hurried typing.
The keys feel tactile and have decent travel, and are convenient to type on for long articles. The keyboard is backlit with white light. The keyboards also feature a power button that doubles up as a fingerprint sensor which is quite accurate.
The touchpad is quick and responsive and is equipped with the Windows Precision driver. The touchpad is of a click type, meaning you can click down anywhere on the laptop.
The IdeaPad features an array of different ports like two USB type-A 3.1 generation 1 port, one USB Type-C gen 1 ports, one HDMI port, one SD card reader port, and the usual headphone and mic combo jack.
The Lenovo IdeaPad is equipped with a 57-watt hour battery that lasts about 10 hours or so on web surfing with full brightness. Considering the portability and how light the laptop is, the battery life is definitely on the better side of things.
3.HP Pavilion X360 2-in-1 Laptop
The Pavilion X360 is yet another of HP’s take on Laptops that join the premium but within budget category. The X360 is a 2-in-1 laptop and is convertible. It also features a touchscreen for when you decide to use it as a tablet.
Though the HP Pavilion X360 is under budget and offers many pleasing features, is it really as good as it claims? The below article is a complete roundup of the features of the X360 and a review as well.
Features Of HP Pavilion X360
The Pavilion X360 is a 14-inch two-in-one convertible laptop that has touchscreen features. It can be used in different ways as a tablet, folded laptop with a touchscreen, or just as a normal laptop.
This laptop comes in multiple variants with different processor options and a few tweaks in the features. Of course, this affects the price of the laptop accordingly.
Let us dive right into a detailed view of the laptop without further ado.
CPU and Graphics Of HP Pavilion X360
The HP Pavilion x360 is pre-installed with the Windows 10 operating system by default. The X360 variant that we’re looking at here is powered by an Intel Core i5-10210U 10th generation processor. The processor has a base speed of 1.6 GHz to a maximum speed of 4.2 GHz and is also equipped with the Intel Turbo boost technology.
An i5 10th gen processor is just enough to get most things done efficiently on your notebook. It can even be used for beginner gaming if at all you are interested. The processor can effortlessly run different applications together without lags or getting non-responsive.
The graphics card on this Pavilion X360 is an integrated Intel UHD graphics card. Though not one of the best ones on the market, it does decently with small-scale graphics.
RAM and Storage Of HP Pavilion X360
The memory on this device is 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, which may seem okay at first. But the laptop leaves you wanting more in this case. The laptop seems sluggish a lot, and that is not something you as a user would prefer.
If you’re using it for basic purposes, though, this laptop should definitely suffice. Again, you do have the option to upgrade your RAM up to 16 GB. But this feature does not default for all variants, and some variants come with zero up-gradation options as well.
The storage capacity on this variant of the Pavilion X360 is 512 GB of PCle solid-state drive. There is an option to upgrade the storage, though.
Display Of HP Pavilion X360
The HP Pavilion x360 has a display size of 14 inches and a full HD resolution of 1920x1080p. The display also has touchscreen ability which we will go into further later on in the article.
The display also features an In-plane switching technology, has an edge-to-edge glass, micro-edge display, brightness up to 250 nits, and 45 percent NTSC gamut. The 45 percent NTSC may not bring out the best colors on your screen, but it will do for basic movies and videos anyway.
Design Of HP Pavilion X360
The Pavilion X360 has a sleek design and weighs a mere 1.58 kgs, and is easily portable. The laptop is just 19.7mm thick, making it a thin and lightweight device. The chassis is glossy silver and has the HP official logo in the middle.
The inner lid has an HD camera right in the center of the bezel. The bezels are thin and make for a neat appearance. There is also a logo of the brand on the bottom part of the lid on the bezel.
Keyboard and Trackpad Of HP Pavilion X360
The keyboard is one of the best things on this laptop. It is surprising how HP managed to incorporate such a comfortable keyboard with spaced-out keys. The individual keys are quite big and make your typing and control a lot easier.
The keys are easily within reach and spaced so that you do not have any case of inaccuracy or mistyping. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the right side. The keys travel at a distance of 1.4mm.
The touchscreen is quite responsive and quite accurate as well. It can cope with drawings and any other intricate actions you may have to do. It does not lag or have inaccuracies of any kind, so it is one of the better features on this laptop.
The trackpad is 4.3×2.1 with semi-matte texture and is installed with the Windows Precision Drivers. This means it can handle all the basic Windows gestures like three-finger tabbing and two-finger scrolling.
Ports Of HP Pavilion X360
There are a good number of ports on the HP Pavilion X360. One SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Type-C (5Gbps) port, two SuperSpeed USB Type-A (5Gbps) ports, one HDMI 1.4b port, one RJ-45 ethernet jack, one SD card reader port, and the power plug port. The laptop does not have a CD Drive, though.
Battery Of HP Pavilion X360
The battery on the HP Pavilion X360 is a 41 Watt-hour Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) fast charge battery. The device lasts around 6 hours with continuous web surfing at 150 nits of brightness using a wifi connection. The battery is not exactly a stellar performing one compared to laptops like Zenbook or a Matebook D., But it does quite reach the average battery life, so that is good.
The HP Pavilion X360 is a two in one convertible laptop with touchscreen capacity as well. The laptop folds back halfway to become a keyboard-free device that you can watch media on.
It also folds back completely to become a tablet-like device that you can use with the touchscreen display. The display also is compatible with ink pens though there isn’t one provided with the laptop.
4.Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition
Mi is a brand known for its range of smartphones, smartwatches, bands, and other fitness-related products very well. But it is one of the latest and newest entrants into the laptop market with its Mi Notebook 14 and the Mi Notebook 14 Horizon edition.
The Chinese multinational giant launched these notebooks that target ttry’s heartlaptop industry’s hearttry rather than the budget category. These laptops bear no resemblance to the budget models except that they are within the budget. Yes, these notebooks are well within the price range of a usual laptop but facilitate features that belong to high-end laptops.
The Mi notebook launch saw two models, the Notebook 14 and the Notebook 14 Horizon edition. The two models aren’t a whole lot different from each other. They share more similarities than you’d expect. But the upgraded processor generation, bezel thickness, and weight are a few characteristics that distinguish them.
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon edition is a great entry into the laptop industry and speaks for itself in being feature-rich and surprisingly within budget.
The display on this notebook is 14 inches, as the name suggests, and not without some excellent qualities. It is thin, lightweight, and supremely comfortable carrying around or working in, even in crowded spaces.
The notebook also has an extremely durable build to ensure good quality, great RAM, storage, and graphics properties. The Horizon edition costs slightly more than the standard Notebook 14, but not without good reason. It has way better attributes and a lot more to offer in terms of features.
The notebook is a great fit for users looking for an efficient, productive, and budget laptop that can easily carry out your daily dose of entertainment and tasks and maybe even assist with minimal photo/video editing and beginner-level gaming.
CPU and Graphics
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon edition is preloaded with the Windows Home 10 operating system by default and is also preinstalled with Microsoft Office 365 with a month’s worth of free subscription.
The Operating system is powered by an Intel Core i7-10510U 10th generation processor. The processor’s base speed is 1.8 GHz, and it has a maximum speed of 4.9 GHz, which is quite impressive considering most laptops do not offer speeds more than 4.2 GHz. This processor is quad-core and also has eight threads.
The i7 Intel Core processor is much more than what an average user would expect for a laptop of this price. As it always goes, the higher the processor type and generation, the better the performance. The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon is quite efficient and productive thanks to this i7 processor.
The graphics card unit on the Horizon edition is dedicated and proudly claimed by the brand to be one of its first, an NVIDIA GeForce MX350 graphics card. It does not have shared memory and has its own 2 GB dedicated memory. Hence, it can support beginner gaming, graphics, and even video and photo editing.
RAM and Storage
The Mi Notebook 14 is equipped with 8 GB of RAM. The brand claims that this superspeed RAM is clocked at 2666 MHz speed. The 8 GB RAM is great for most users and most requirements and should get you breezing by for the next few years at the minimum.
But the downside to this is that the RAM is soldered down and cannot be upgraded to a better version of your choice. The brand also does not offer better RAM choices at the time of purchasing, which is disappointing.
The Storage capacity on the Mi Notebook is an impressive 512 GB of solid-state drive storage. Not only that, the 512 GB SSD is equipped with Non-Volatile memory express (NVMe) and offers 5x the speed of standard SSD’s.
The Mi Notebook Horizon edition equipped with the NVMe claims to offer five times faster transfer speed, boot-ups, game loading, and a very smooth overall performance compared to the SATA SSD storage.
The Mi notebook sports a 14-inch screen, as the name suggests. The specialty of the Horizon edition is the skinny bezels. The notebook has a ninety-one percent screen-to-body ratio, which makes for a great viewing experience.
The display screen is equipped with a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080p and has in-plane switching as well. The Notebook has a Full HD anti-glare screen and 178-degree wide-viewing angle for an even better display experience. There is a 720p HD high-resolution camera on the lid that facilitates a great webcam experience.
The Mi notebook 14 has a spectacular design and a lot of great factors to boast about. The horizon edition is even better than the Mi notebook in the design attribute. The bezels are just 3mm and are super thin, giving it a very compact and striking look.
The laptop also has an all-metal anodized sandblasted finish for an extremely sleek-looking laptop and a very durable one. The laptop weighs a mere 1.35 kgs, is just 17.15 mm thin, and does complete justice to being an ultra-thin and light laptop. The lid surprisingly does not have any design on the lid as most laptop brands do.
Keyboard and Trackpad
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon edition has a scissor-switch keyboard that promises errorless typing and better accuracy. The keyboard is spaced out well and makes for a comfortable typing experience. The keys have a key travel distance of 1.3mm and provide tactile feedback. They also have an anti-dust layer to protect the keys.
The multi-touch trackpad is a one-click touch piece equipped with different gestures for easy and accurate response. The trackpad also features a built-in palm rejection technology to cut out unwanted touches and any inaccuracy.
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon edition has a 3.5mm jack that doubles as a headphone and mic plug-in and a USB 2.0 port on the left side. There is a USB Type-C port, two USB 3.1 ports, one HDMI 1.4b port, and a charging port on the right side.
The Mi Notebook is equipped with a 46-watt hour battery and comes with a 65-watt charger which ensures quick charge. In fact, it can take the laptop from 0 to 50% in just a half-hour! The laptop also lasts almost a whole day of usage, approximately 7-8 hours of surfing, multiple tabs open, and background applications. That is extremely impressive for a laptop of its size, specifications, budget, especially considering it’s a new launch.
5.Lenovo IdeaPad S340
IdeaPad is one of Lenovo’s favorite and acclaimed series and has different laptops with different features and selling in different price ranges.
The IdeaPad we have here today is the S340 model. Lenovo gives extreme importance to user preference because they offer six different variants within the S340 model alone.
Considering how the S340 is a model from the different varieties in the IdeaPad range, it is surprising that Lenovo has so many variants with slightly different features, prices, and specifications to cater to the needs of the diverse range of users.
Of the six variants available, we are reviewing here the IdeaPad S340 81VV00KKIN. , common to all of these variants is the standard color, which is glossy platinum grey. Moving on to the features now.
The Lenovo S340 is packed with interesting and neat features that would be expected off any laptop in this budget. It sports a 14-inch, compact screen display, is lightweight and thin for user convenience, and most importantly, durable.
It features an 8 GB RAM chip, has an integrated Intel graphics card for a GPU, and an excellent storage capacity of 1 TB. The laptop is also sleek, lives up to its performance expectations, and is exceptionally efficient.
It is equipped with two 2W speakers and has a great audio system for enhanced hearing aspects. The S340 also packs some exciting features like a privacy shutter for the HD camera and a rapid charge technology that boosts your laptop battery power to 80% in no time for extended battery life.
With these features in mind, it is time to sweep through these in detail and determine if the Lenovo S340 is as amazing as it sounds and lives up to its expectations.
CPU and Graphics
The Ideapad S340 that we have here, the 81VV00KKIN, is powered by an Intel Core i5-1035G1 10th generation processor. It has a base speed of 1.0 GHz and a maximum processing speed of 3.6 GHz, and it is also worth noting that it is a quad-core processor with a 6 MB cache.
Though good enough, the processor speeds could have definitely been better, and it will be quite noticeable too if you get around to doing even slightly heavy-duty tasks.
As most laptops on the market today, the Lenovo IdeaPad is no exception to the preloaded Windows 10 operating system with lifetime validity. Additionally, it also is preinstalled with Microsoft Office Home and Microsoft Office Student, both in the 2019 versions.
The i5 10th generation, though a great choice, is still no match for an 11th generation processor, which can produce great speeds while consuming way less battery power.
The IdeaPad S340 is equipped with an integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics card unit. This graphics processor unit has a shared memory and no dedicated memory slot, which leads to a decreased performance compared to its counterparts with dedicated memory slots.
RAM and Storage
The Lenovo IdeaPad has 8 GB of RAM, split into two 4 GB DDR4 RAM slots. One of the 4 GB DDR4 chips is soldered to the system and has a transfer rate of 2666 MHz, while the other 4 GB is a SO-DIMM chip with the same transfer rate of 2666 MHz.
All the variants in the Ideapad S340 would offer only 8 Gb of RAM if you were looking for a better option in the same range. But, you do have the choice of upgrading your RAM capacity to suit your needs.
The storage capacity on the IdeaPad, unlike many other models, does not disappoint by any range. The S340 offers hybrid storage with 1 TB of Hard disk drive space and 256 GB of solid-state drive memory. This hybrid storage attribute is a huge advantage if you have a ton of media, applications, documents, or any kind of need for storage space.
The IdeaPad S340 sports a standard 14-inch screen with a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080p. The screen also supports In-plane switching technology and has an FHD Anti-glare screen as well.
Lenovo claims to offer a vibrant and life-like visual experience owing to its capacity of displaying more than two million individual pixels at the same time. But having said this, the IdeaPad S340 is not perhaps the best when it comes to display and viewer experience. With most laptops these days supporting Wide View angles and high color gamut percentages, there are certainly a few factors that this laptop misses out on.
The IdeaPad S340 lives up to its name of Thin and Light by actually being that way. It weighs all of 1.7 kgs and truly is lightweight and portable. The laptop is also merely 1.8cms in thickness and makes for a very sleek and stylish-looking device, all the while being compact.
The design aspect is like all Lenovo laptops, with its logo featuring the lid’s side and the same position on the chassis. It has two narrow bezels that offer increased viewing comfort and style to the device without increasing its weight attributes.
The IdeaPad S340 features a built-in camera of 720p in HD, located on the top bezel. It also supports fixed focus for better photos taken using the camera. The Lenovo S340, like most other laptops from the manufacturer, sports a privacy shutter on its camera for additional privacy for the user.
The Lenovo Ideapad S340 has a good scope for connectivity, no doubt. It has an HDMI 1.4b cable, one 3.5mm headphone/mic combo jack, one USB 3.1 Type-C generation 1 port, and the power plug port on the right side.
It features a 4-in-1 media reader port that supports SD, MMC, SDHC, and SDXC formats on the left side. It also has two USB 3.1 generation 1 ports.
The Lenovo IdeaPad S340 is equipped with a 52.5 watt-hour Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery and offers an average standby time of 8.5 hours. It also supports a Rapid charge technology which boosts up to 80 percent in one hour of charge.
6.Asus Vivobook Ultra 15 Laptop
The Asus Vivobook series is easily one of the top-notch models released by the renowned brand. The Vivobook Ultra 15 X513EA model that we are testing here today is one of the newly released models from the latter end of 2020.
The Vivobook Ultra 15 is yet another take on compact laptops by Asus, and it sure doesn’t disappoint. It packs a lot of advantageous features and is a great choice for normal usage. The Vivobook has quite a few variants in the series, ranking at different usage and attributes levels.
Features Of Asus Vivobook Ultra 15 Laptop
The Asus Vivobook Ultra 15 has a 15.6-inch display and yet is so very light. The laptop is ultrathin and contrary to expectations, and efficient laptop as well. Like most Asus laptops and especially the Vivobook series, the Ultra 15 is compact and portable, and easy to carry around.

Like the color, the Vivobook Ultra 15 also has multiple options to choose from concerning processors, RAM capacity, storage et al. l. Depending on your requirements, feel free to find what suits you best.
Below are a detailed review and thoughts on the features of the Asus Vivobook Ultra 15
CPU and Graphics Of Asus Vivobook Ultra 15 Laptop
The Asus Vivobook Ultra 15 has a few different configurations, but the one we are testing today, the Zenbook ultra 15 X513EA-EJ531TS, is powered by an Intel Core i5 1135G7 11th generation processor. The Windows 10 operating system is preloaded by default on this computer.
The Vivobook also comes in i3 and i7 processor variants, along with our chosen i5 model. An i5 processor is easily a wonderful choice for multitasking, intense usage, and keeping the performance of your laptop high.
This is a quad-core processor with a minimum speed of 2.4 GHz and a maximum of 4.2 GHz. Four cores mean it is very much suited to parallel tasking and can handle high intensity efficiently.
The Vivobook has an Integrated Intel UHD graphics card, and since this is not a gaming laptop, the graphics card does not create a huge wave of difference.
RAM and Storage Of Asus Vivobook Ultra 15 Laptop
The Vivobook Ultra 15 has a RAM capacity of 8 GB and uses DDR4 technology and an SDRAM type. 8 GB of RAM is more than enough for the standard tasks, if not great.
If you opt for the i3 processor, you will be presented with a 4 GB DDR4 RAM capacity. The maximum RAM specification on the Vivobook Ultra 15 is 8 GB, so, unfortunately, you cannot upgrade the RAM any further.
The Storage space on the Vivobook, though, will not disappoint. It has a whopping 1 TB of hard disk drive capacity, and if that isn’t enough, you have 256 GB of solid-state drive storage.
Of course, the storage space does tend to change when you choose a lower processor type. But the storage factor on all the variants is great, so that should not be a problem.
Display Of Asus Vivobook Ultra 15 Laptop
As the name Vivobook Ultra 15 suggests, it has a screen size of 15.6 inches. The display has a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080p and is also equipped with an anti-glare backlit panel.
The screen to body ratio on this laptop is 85 percent, close to most other Asus notebook models. The nano-edge bezels also help to make your display better and promise comfortable viewing from various angles. The thin bezels also increase the display space without adding to the weight of the laptop.
Design Of Asus Vivobook Ultra 15 Laptop
The Vivobook features a classy and sleek design. The all-metal chassis maintains the trademark Asus superior design. Slightly differing from quite a few other models, this laptop has the standard Asus logo along with the name of the model as well.
The Vivobook has three-sided nano edge bezels to make more space for the screen. There is a 720p HD camera on the top bezel. The laptop’s weight is just 1.7 Kgs, which is definitely less considering the surprising number of features that it packs.
Keyboard and Trackpad Of Asus Vivobook Ultra 15 Laptop
The keyboard is spaced out really well, and since it is a bigger laptop, the keyboard is quite comfortable to type in. The keyboard is a chiclet type with a backlight. The keys have a travel distance of 1.4mm. The keyboard is compact, but at the same time, the keys are all easily reachable.

9.Dell Vostro 3405
Dell Computers is one of the oldest computer manufacturers and not an uncommon name when looking for high-quality systems. Dell laptops are known for their durability more than anything and long-lasting performance.
Dell computers have been coming out with plenty of budget-oriented laptop models to adhere to the common user’s requirements. The model we have here today is the Dell Vostro 3405. There are few other variants with slightly different features launched under the same model name.
Deemed most ideal for users looking for durable laptops, Dell laptops are the frontrunners in having a wide range of laptops directed at different categories of users, all under a budget. The Vostro is one such laptop with durability, neat features to get your work done, and good performance.
Onto the features now!
The Dell Vostro is a 14-inch compact, budget laptop targeted at users looking for normal use laptops. The Dell Vostro has other variants which run on different processors and have different graphics card options. The Dell Vostro D552155WIN9DE is a lower mid-range laptop with average features.
The Vostro we have here is powered by an Intel Core i5 11th generation processor with an integrated graphics card. Other variants offer the AMD Ryzen 3 or AMD Ryzen 5 for processor options and an AMD Radeon chip for the graphics card unit.
One great factor about the Dell Vostro is how lightweight it is. Considering how most dell laptops are slightly heavy due to their features and hardware, the Vostro definitely surprises its low weight and portability.
Hopping on to the detailed review now.
CPU and Graphics
The Dell Vostro is shipped with Windows 10 preloaded as the default operating system and with lifetime validity. Like most laptops these days, it also comes preloaded with Microsoft Office Home and Microsoft Office student, both of which are installed in the 2019 versions.
The laptop is powered by an Intel Core i5-1135G7 11th generation processor. This quad-core Intel processor has a minimum processing speed of 2.4 GHz and a maximum turbo boost speed of 4.2 GHz. It is worth mentioning that it also comes with 8 MB of smart cache.
The i5 processor is quite fast, responsive, and will not disappoint when it comes to performance-related attributes. That said, it is also worth noting that the more intense your task gets, the more challenged the processor will be. So if you are looking to work with dynamic software or even gaming, i7 processors are your best bet.
The Vostro 3405 is equipped with an integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics card unit. This GPU has a shared memory, which sadly means that it cannot work to match its dedicated memory counterparts’ level, no matter what.
RAM and Storage
The Dell Vostro has 8 MB of DDR4 RAM and 1 TB of hard disk drive storage capacity. 8 MB of RAM is more than enough for the productive and efficient working of the laptop. This RAM capacity can more than easily work with most tasks, including but not limited to multiple open applications, subtle software, and even low-key gaming.
On the other hand, the Storage is a generous 1 TB of a hard disk drive with 5400 RPM; the storage capacity also includes your built-in applications and standard storage needed for the laptop to perform basic functions. Excluding the memory taken up for these reasons, there is still a lot of space for you to use and store.
The Vostro 3405 sports a 14-inch full HD screen with an FHD resolution of 1920x1080p. The screen is also facilitated with anti-glare technology and the WVA display. It also has a LED-backlit screen for better viewing.
The WVA or Wide Viewing Angle display is extremely beneficial in providing a good viewing experience. It can be a handy feature if you plan to view a lot of media on your Vostro.
Design is perhaps one area of the laptop that may not appeal to a lot of users. The Vostro is lightweight and slim, no doubt. It is all of 1.64 kgs and 19.90 mm. But those are the only good attributes in the Vostro.
It is the usual silver chassis with the Dell logo printed right in the middle of the lid. The lid opens effortlessly, but there is a slight shake when you tug at it hard enough, which indicates the lack of durability.
There is a 720p HD camera smack in the middle of the top bezel. There are narrow borders on the right and left sides of the screen but quite thick ones on the remaining sides. This reduces the laptop’s overall appearance and could also be a hindrance while viewing or using certain applications.
Keyboard and Trackpad
The laptop keyboard is black in color and, unfortunately, does not have any kind of backlight. This could be a problem if you have to work in low light or darker rooms, areas.
In regards to the responsive nature and accuracy of the keyboard, there are almost no qualms whatsoever. The keys are spaciously arranged and eliminate the worry of a cramped typing experience.
On the other hand, the trackpad is a one-piece board with click options on the right side and left side. The touchpad is equipped with basic gestures and is accurate to a great extent.
The Dell Vostro 3405 has an array of ports for uninterrupted connectivity and usage. The Vostro has a USB 2.0 port and an SD media card reader that can read SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards on the right side.
On the left side, it has a 3.5mm audio jack, one ethernet RJ45 port, one HDMI port, two USB 3.2 generation 1 Type-A ports, and the power plug port.
The Dell Vostro 3405 is equipped with a 3-cell 42-watt hour Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery. The battery life is a decent 5 hours at the beginning of the laptop usage but slowly slips to lesser hours as the usage increases and may even require a change sooner or later. For a laptop that is as durable as the Dell, the battery is not perhaps its best feature.
As of now, the features and the specifications of the best laptops under 60000 have been discussed. Now, it’s your turn to choose the right laptops that fit your requirements. Cheers!
